Who We Are
We are regular people with a simple love for God and each other who are enjoying being part of a unique style of church, a "new-model" church. Indeed, we are not alone. God is raising up this type of church all over the world.
What Is a "Community of Home Churches?"
“Real” church takes place weekly in various homes where people meet to experience simple worship, the development of supportive friendships, and a service where every person’s presence and involvement is highly valued. A larger, contemporary, celebration service takes place whenever the home churches gather together: sometimes monthly, sometimes less often.
How Does This Work?
Each home church holds its own weekly worship service. The churches are led by supportive, encouraging people who guide the worshippers into an experience with God. Everyone has an equal sense of ownership in his/her church because each one is truly equal in value, contribution, and decision-making power.
Are There Leaders/Pastors?
Capable shepherds/pastors are part of the church but do not dominate nor stand out. Our desire is to see the Holy Spirit lead our gatherings through every person's spiritual gifts. We also want to see every person cared about and supported—to see every home church be an “extended family” that is “devoted to one another in love.”
